Founded in 2018, Total Leadership Solutions seeks to revive a traditional industry mentality by integrating major design and construction entities into a cohesive unit. This approach enables us to deliver superior products by combining management, key services, and engineering under one roof. By uniting MACS and Total Precision, we create a strong front that ensures the best possible results, always prioritizing the interests of our clients.

The Story Behind Our Approach:
The Willamette Brown and White Paper Divisions exploded throughout the 80’s and 90’s thru expansion and acquisitions. They implemented an incredible Lessons Learned program and found themselves at the very top of Capital Projects within the Industry regarding workmanship, efficiency, value, and production. Budgets and schedules were not only being achieved but beaten. Fortune 500 was a badge of honor proudly achieved by “The Willamette Way”.
While all components were crucial to that success, their Engineering Services (WES) provided core leadership in the form of Engineering, Managers, Craft Coordinators, and Key Services that were involved and present for all Projects across the Country. “Performance value” methodologies resulted in higher standards of quality, integrity, and accuracy which paved the path toward an unparalleled ROI. It became clear on every Willamette Project that the keys to success rested in the hands of that united front.
Around 2000 there was an acquisition of not only the Willamette facilities, but the very process they had developed for both maintaining and expanding their assets. The package as a whole was viewed as critical to success, past and future. Nothing changed, including the acronym WES, the wheel kept rolling and the Lessons Learned kept expanding.
Thru more acquisitions “The Willamette Way” remains in small pockets of the current owners of some of those original facilities and is the core to the structure and success of the Team known as Total Leadership Solutions. We engage and leverage the incredible benefits of a united front for the unprecedented success of Capital Projects while merging proven methods with cutting edge technology.

Chris Vaneman has established a remarkable career in the construction, surveying, and precision industry, particularly within the pulp and paper sector. Since starting in 1999, he has developed a reputation for quality, integrity, and accuracy. Throughout his career, Chris and the incredible team members around him have built from scratch a Nationwide leading provider (Focus Optical Alignment Inc) and continues those efforts ultimately leading him to the roles of President of Total Alignment & Precision Services, Inc. (TAPS) and co-founder of Total Leadership Solutions Inc. His hands-on experience and leadership style reflect his belief in treating people with respect and delivering the best possible product to clients. Under his guidance, TAPS continues to thrive, serving the needs of the pulp and paper industry and beyond through the efforts of TLS. Chris Vaneman’s journey from a construction surveyor to the current structure and positions showcases his dedication to excellence in the industry.
